crypt.pe — Non-Custodial Disclaimer
Effective Date: 30 May 2026 Operator: HACKASTRA INFOSEC L.L.C-FZ
READ THIS CAREFULLY
crypt.pe never holds, controls, or has access to your funds. Ever.
This disclaimer is not boilerplate. It describes how the Service actually works at the technical and legal level. By using crypt.pe you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted everything below.
1. What crypt.pe is
crypt.pe is software. Specifically, it is non-custodial payment infrastructure that does two things:
- It lets you publish your own public cryptocurrency wallet address on a page you control (
crypt.pe/yourname) or in an API-created order. - It observes the public blockchain and notifies you when a payment is sent to that address.
That is the entire operational footprint of the Service.
2. What crypt.pe is NOT
crypt.pe is not, and does not act as:
- a bank;
- a money-transmitter or money services business;
- a virtual asset service provider (VASP) in the sense of FATF, MiCA, the UAE VARA rulebook, or any equivalent regime;
- a custodian of digital assets;
- an exchange, broker-dealer, or market-maker;
- a payment processor in the merchant-of-record sense (we are not in the flow of funds);
- a wallet provider (we never generate, hold, or control private keys);
- a financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, or legal advisor.
Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
3. We never touch your funds
Read each of these statements carefully. All of them are simultaneously true:
- We do not hold any cryptocurrency on your behalf at any point in time.
- We do not have access to any private key, seed phrase, mnemonic, or other secret cryptographic material — yours or anyone else's.
- We do not pool funds, settle in batches, or operate any kind of platform wallet, omnibus account, or treasury that any user's payment ever passes through.
- We cannot freeze, redirect, refund, claw back, or otherwise interfere with any payment, before or after it has been broadcast.
- We cannot reverse an on-chain transaction. No one can.
- We never convert cryptocurrency to fiat currency or vice versa.
- We do not act as a counterparty in any user's transaction. The counterparty is always the on-chain wallet of the other party.
Every payment processed through the Service moves directly between the sender's wallet and the recipient's wallet, on a public blockchain. We simply observe that activity and notify the relevant user.
4. You are responsible for your own funds
Because the Service is non-custodial, you bear sole responsibility for:
- The wallet address you display. If you display the wrong address, funds sent there are not recoverable.
- The network selected by the sender. If a sender chooses the wrong network or token standard (for example, sending ETH on a chain that does not support your address format, or sending USDT on a chain different from the one you accept), funds may be permanently lost.
- The security of your wallet and private keys. If your wallet is compromised, we cannot help recover assets.
- The accuracy of any amount, memo, or metadata you supply when creating an invoice or order.
- The tax, accounting, and reporting consequences of cryptocurrency you receive in your jurisdiction.
5. We are not liable for loss of funds
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HACKASTRA INFOSEC L.L.C-FZ and its officers, employees, partners, and affiliates accept no liability for:
- funds sent to a wrong address, on the wrong network, in the wrong token standard, or to an unsupported asset;
- failed, delayed, mined-out, censored, or reorganised blockchain transactions;
- bugs, exploits, or governance decisions in third-party smart contracts (for example, in stablecoin contracts, wrapped assets, or bridge contracts);
- price volatility between the moment a payment is initiated and the moment it is confirmed;
- regulatory action that affects a particular cryptocurrency, token, or chain;
- loss of access to your wallet, seed phrase, hardware device, or any private key material;
- third-party service outages (blockchain indexers, price feeds, email providers, wallet providers);
- any indirect, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
This limitation applies regardless of whether the loss arises from the Service, the underlying blockchain, third-party infrastructure, your own actions, or the actions of any third party.
6. Cryptocurrency is risky
You acknowledge and accept that cryptocurrency is volatile, novel, and the subject of evolving regulation. The value of any cryptocurrency you receive can change materially within seconds, can become unliquid, can lose all market value, and can become legally restricted in certain jurisdictions. Do not use crypt.pe to receive amounts you cannot afford to lose to volatility or regulatory action.
7. No representation about supported assets
Listing a token, chain, or wallet provider as "supported" by the Service is a statement about software compatibility only. It is not an endorsement of, or representation about, the security, legality, legitimacy, or solvency of that token, chain, or wallet provider. You are responsible for evaluating each asset you choose to receive.
8. Governing law
This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applicable to entities licensed in the free zone of registration of HACKASTRA INFOSEC L.L.C-FZ.
